Thermal Millboard

Interface Performance Materials' millboard materials are strong, thin, denseboards with excellent insulating characteristics. They are made from ceramicfi ber, clay, inert fi llers and a small amount of organic and/or inorganic bindersfor increased handling strength. Interface Performance Materials' millboardcontains no asbestos and can be easily substituted for asbestos millboards in avariety of applications up to 2,300°F.

The high density and excellent compressive strength allow it to be used inabusive environments as refractory backup and personnel protection, and it willwithstand contact with molten metals. Millboards are available for steel, glassand aluminum manufacturing — plus other applications requiring hightemperature performance. The boards exhibit good dielectric strength and canbe die-cut for gasket applications.
